DEWINTER DIGITAL BRINELL HARDNESS TESTER
DIGITAL USB MICROSCOPE
DIGITAL USB MICROSCOPE is high resolution 2048x1536 pixels Digital Microscope. It adopt high performance USB 2.0. The transmission speed is 30 f/s. Image Sensor: ½ inch. CCD.
Image Format: 2048x1536. USB-2.0 Compatible
DEWINTER HARDNESS SOFTWARE
This software is capable for displaying live image using USB-2 camera or camera used through capture card. The captured image is retrieved of indented specimens is measured through three procedure available with us.
Vickers
The square-based diamond pyramid is formed having an angle of 136º between the opposite faces at the vertex. The length of diagonals of the indentation left in the surface after removal of the test force is measured.
Vickers hardness value is obtained according to following formula
Vickers hardness value = 0.102X 2XFXSin 136º/2/d²
Brinell Hardness Test
The Brinell hardness test is an indentation hardness test in which a hard metal bull is forced into the surface of a test piece and the mean diameter of the indentation left in the surface after removal of the test force, is measured.
It is calculated by using the formula,
Brinell hardness value = 0.102x2xF/πxDx(D-√D²-d²
Knoop Hardness Test
The knoop hardness test is an indentation hardness test in which rhombic based diamond pyramid, having an included longitudinal edge angel of 172.5º and an included traverse edge an angel of 130º, is forced into the surface of a test piece and the length of the long. Diagonal of the indentation left in the surface after removal of the test force is measured.
Knoop hardness value is obtained by using following formula:
Knoop hardness value= 0.02xF/l²xC
Effective Case Depth
The effective case depth of carburized or carbonitrided, and hardened cases in steel is determined from the gradient of hardness on a cross-section normal to the surface. It is estimated graphically from a curve + representing the variation in hardness as a function of the distance from the surface of the part.
